About the Role

Banking Systems - Private and Public Cloud

We are looking for a DevOps Engineer / Private and Public Cloud Administrator to manage secure, reliable infrastructure for banking software. You will support development teams, automate delivery, and maintain the availability, performance, and security of critical banking services.

Responsibilities

• Administer private and public cloud infrastructure, including compute, storage, networking, and virtualization.

• Build infrastructure as code and automate provisioning, configuration, and operational tasks.

• Maintain CI/CD pipelines with automated tests, security checks, controlled deployments, and rollback procedures.

• Operate containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes.

• Manage network segmentation, firewalls, private connectivity, DNS, load balancing, and TLS certificates.

• Implement least-privilege access, privileged access controls, secrets management, and encryption.

• Maintain monitoring, alerting, centralized logging, and audit trails without exposing sensitive data.

• Apply security patches, harden systems, and coordinate remediation of infrastructure, container, and software vulnerabilities.

• Support MySQL and PostgreSQL operations, including replication, high availability, access controls, and performance monitoring.

• Maintain backups and point-in-time recovery; test restoration and disaster recovery against agreed recovery time and recovery point objectives.

• Investigate incidents, perform root-cause analysis, and improve resilience and capacity.

• Collaborate with development, architecture, security, and compliance teams to maintain secure banking environments.

About you

• Strong commercial experience in DevOps, infrastructure engineering, or cloud administration.

• Strong Linux administration skills and proficiency in Bash, Python, or similar scripting languages.

• Experience administering at least one major public cloud platform, such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud.

• Experience with a private cloud or virtualization platform, such as OpenStack, VMware, or Proxmox.

• Practical knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and container networking, storage, and access controls.

• Experience with infrastructure as code and configuration management tools, such as Terraform and Ansible.

• Experience with CI/CD, deployment approvals, artifact versioning, rollback, and safe database migration coordination.

• Strong understanding of networking, firewalls, VPNs, DNS, load balancing, and TLS.

• Experience with identity and access management, MFA, least privilege, secrets management, and encryption key management.

• Knowledge of secure configuration, vulnerability management, and OWASP risks relevant to application hosting and delivery.

• Experience with relational database operations, consistent backups, replication, failover, and recovery; understanding of how infrastructure failures affect in-flight transactions.

• Experience with monitoring, incident response, high availability, and disaster recovery.

• Ability to document infrastructure, maintain runbooks, and communicate clearly during incidents.

NICE TO HAVE:

• Background in fintech, payments, or financial services.

• Experience operating banking platforms or other critical transaction-processing systems.

• Experience with hybrid cloud connectivity and migrations between private and public cloud environments.

• Familiarity with CIS Benchmarks and software supply chain security.

• Experience with Kafka or RabbitMQ, GitOps, and Kubernetes operators.

• Experience supporting security audits, penetration testing remediation, and banking regulatory requirements.

• Relevant cloud, Kubernetes, Linux, or security certifications.

We offer

•  Competitive salary, depending on experience and qualifications.

•  Health insurance.

•  Free parking.

• Professional and collaborative environment in an international fintech company.

• Opportunities for professional development and career growth.
